#1648 - Tang Sanzang: I can help you go to the West

The monks, wearing shackles, pushed open the main hall and invited Tang Sanzang and the others into the hall to worship Buddha.

Chu Hao naturally entered the hall without any politeness. As for burning incense, Chu Hao also wanted to offer some, but even the Tathagata Buddha wouldn't dare to accept a stick of incense from him!

Tang Sanzang had his own Buddhist beliefs in his heart. According to his previous practice, he would burn every temple he encountered and destroy every monastery. But now, seeing this temple, Tang Sanzang didn't burn it down.

It was because Tang Sanzang saw that the Jin Guang Temple was dilapidated and couldn't help but feel delighted.

He felt that the people of this country had really become enlightened!

Looking at this dilapidated appearance, it seemed that the people had their own needs. They were diligent in labor and no longer served these monks who were lazy and didn't know how to grow crops!

Not seeking incense money, but spreading the wisdom fruit everywhere!

This is a good Buddha! Only here can one obtain the supreme true Dharma!

Tang Sanzang offered incense from his heart, knocked his teeth three times, and was respectful.

What he worshipped was the Buddha Dharma in his heart, the enlightenment and wisdom of the people in the country.

Sun Wukong and the others were thoughtful. They didn't have as much wisdom as Tang Sanzang. They were just wondering why their master, who used to want to tear down the Jin Guang Temple, was so pious today?

But everyone didn't interrupt.

The monks who brought Tang Sanzang to Jin Guang Temple were secretly happy and their faces were full of excitement. The plan was a success!

They had him completely under their control!

After Tang Sanzang finished worshiping, he got up and turned to the back, seeing six or seven young monks locked to the eaves pillars. Sanzang was stunned.

The monks secretly glanced at Tang Sanzang, thinking that even if Tang Sanzang was so cold-blooded, he wouldn't turn a blind eye to his fellow monks, would he?

As long as Tang Sanzang came forward to untie them, he would naturally enter into karma, and Tang Sanzang would have to bear the consequences of what happened here.

However, Tang Sanzang looked at the young monks tied to the pillars with disdain and shook his head.

"What pitiful little monks..."

The monks were secretly delighted. As expected, Tang Sanzang was moved with compassion. Their trick of using their own suffering had worked!

However, in the next second, the joy in the monks' hearts took a sharp turn.

Tang Sanzang patted the faces of each of the young monks and said coldly:

"At such a young age, you don't learn anything good, and you just want to be lazy monks who don't know how to grow crops? Do you think that chanting scriptures will make you comfortable with clothes and food at your fingertips?

Now you're in trouble, right? You've been tied up, right? Stand here as punishment. When your hair grows back, you can go back and work hard and support yourselves!"

Monks: ? ? ?

Did Tang Sanzang think they deserved it?!

The monks were afraid, fearing that Tang Sanzang would come up with more fallacies. They quickly kowtowed and asked:

"Distinguished gentlemen, you look different. Are you from the Tang Dynasty in the East?"

Sun Wukong sneered and said:

"Does this monk have some kind of prophetic ability? We are. How did you recognize us?"

Zhu Bajie also teased:

"Yeah, it's so accurate, as if someone had arranged everything for us in advance. Is it Guanyin Bodhisattva or the Tathagata Buddha?"

Chu Hao silently pinched his face beside him, with a hint of evil charm on his face. Speaking of Guanyin Bodhisattva, hehehe, she's quite good-looking. Next time, change the role-playing...

The monks froze. They didn't expect Tang Sanzang to be more aware of the process than they were.

However, the monks still braced themselves and said:

"Grandpa, we don't have any prophetic abilities. We are just suffering and have nowhere to explain. We just call out to heaven and earth every day.

We thought we had alarmed the gods. Last night, everyone had a dream, saying that there would be a holy monk from the Tang Dynasty in the East who would save our lives and redress our grievances. As for who sent the dream, we couldn't tell in the light and shadow.

Today, we saw you gentlemen with such extraordinary appearances, so we recognized you. Please save our Jin Guang Temple from this disaster!"

After the monks finished speaking, they kowtowed, their faces full of entreaty.

Tang Sanzang and the others looked at Chu Hao. Chu Hao thought about it. Light and shadow... wasn't that Guanyin?

Fishnet? White silk...

Ahem... be serious, I'm here to work!

Chu Hao nodded and said:

"If you have something to say, fart it out."

The monks frowned, "Who are you..."

Before he could finish speaking, Tang Sanzang came up and slapped the questioning monk.

"Keep your mouth clean, don't force this monk to refine you!"

The monks immediately became obedient. It turned out that Chu Hao was the leader of the Journey to the West!

So, the monks chattered and told their grievances:

"Sir, this city is called Jisaiguo, a major place in the Western Regions. In those years, there were four foreign countries paying tribute: the Southern Yuetuo Kingdom, the Northern Gaochang Kingdom, the Eastern and Western Liang Kingdoms, and the Western Benbo Kingdom, offering beautiful jade, bright pearls, delicate concubines, and fine horses every year.

We don't have wars or expeditions here. They naturally regard us as the superior country."

Tang Sanzang understood and nodded:

"Since you are regarded as the superior country, it seems that your king is virtuous and your officials are wise. He is also kind, actually sparing the lives of you monks. If it were me, I would have dragged you all to dig coal!"

The monks shivered in fear. It had to be said that Tang Sanzang was more demonic than a demon in his words.

However, the monks didn't dare to complain anymore. They just obediently said:

"Sir, the king is neither virtuous nor wise, nor is he a good ruler. Our Jin Guang Temple has always been shrouded in auspicious clouds and rising auspicious mists above the pagoda, emitting a glow at night that people have seen for thousands of miles; spraying colorful air during the day that all four countries have witnessed.

Therefore, they thought it was a heavenly capital, and the four foreign countries paid tribute. But three years ago, on the first day of the seventh lunar month, at midnight, there was a rain of blood!

Suddenly, one midnight three years ago, a rain of blood fell on Jisaiguo. At dawn, every family was afraid and every household was sad. The pagoda of Jin Guang Temple no longer had auspicious clouds and mists, and the other countries no longer paid tribute to Jisaiguo.

That damned king mistakenly thought that we monks guarding the pagoda had stolen the treasure, and in a fit of anger, imprisoned all the monks in the country. Our Jin Guang Temple was ruined overnight!"

As they spoke, the monks were in tears, as if they had suffered a great grievance, crying loudly!

Tang Sanzang remained unmoved and said coldly:

"I have two questions: How did the treasure come about? How did Jin Guang Temple obtain the treasure?"

After Tang Sanzang asked, the monks' sorrowful voices stopped one after another. Their eyes were full of hesitation and doubt, looking at each other, no one dared to speak.

Only an old monk with a deep mind stood up crying hypocritically:

"The treasure was naturally bestowed by our Buddha. Our Jin Guang Temple is blessed by the grace of the Western Heaven to possess this treasure! It was just stolen by villains!

I hope you will have compassion, for things of a kind come together. Show great compassion and great mercy, and spread your magical power to save our lives!"

Tang Sanzang rolled up his sleeves, revealing his muscles,

"I can take you to the Western Heaven to feel the grace of the Buddha, do you want to?"
