Journey to the West: Man in heaven, working nine to five

#1902 - Xitian's Arrangement

#1902 - Xitian's Arrangement

Chu Hao's words caught the Jade Emperor's attention, and this big shot of the Heavenly Court couldn't help but ponder the deeper meaning behind his words.

However, at the moment, he wasn't sure what the other party was trying to do.

Thinking of this, he looked at Chu Hao and nodded slightly: "If it's for the sake of the Heavenly Court, just go ahead and do it."

"Thank you, Your Majesty." Having achieved his goal, Chu Hao nodded and took his leave.

After he left, the Jade Emperor summoned a servant.

He instructed the servant: "From now on, I will be in seclusion, and no one is to disturb me."

He was well aware that once Chu Hao really started doing things, pressure from all sides would come one after another, so he simply hid himself to avoid direct confrontation.

"Yes, Your Majesty," the servant nodded.

On the other side, Di Ting rushed to the Great Thunderclap Temple in a great hurry.

Inside the Great Thunderclap Temple, the Tathagata was lecturing the Buddhas on the scriptures.

The Lion Camel Ridge incident had come to an end, allowing everyone to calm down again.

However, seeing Di Ting's hurried appearance, the Buddhas' hearts sank, knowing that bad news had arrived again.

"Buddha, something bad has happened!" Di Ting exclaimed.

The Tathagata's originally calm face instantly revealed an unpleasant expression. He stared at Di Ting below, his eyes flickering with chaotic energy, which was mixed with an unspeakable pressure.

Although this pressure had not yet been released, if one were to meet his gaze, one would instantly feel an incomparably terrifying power surge forth.

This showed that the Tathagata was angry, and this anger stemmed from previous accumulations. Even though Di Ting hadn't said what it was, he immediately thought of that nemesis of the Western Paradise, Chu Hao.

Without thinking, he knew that it must be Chu Hao causing trouble again.

So he asked: "Has that Chu Hao done something again?"

"Reporting to the Buddha, that Chu Hao has captured the Star of Longevity, Antarctic Immortal!" Di Ting said.

As soon as these words came out, the Buddhas, who were originally frowning deeply, immediately relaxed.

"Isn't this a matter for Daoism itself?" One of the Buddhas revealed a smile.

Indeed, he thought that the Western Paradise was in trouble again.

Unexpectedly, it was Daoism's own infighting. Since that was the case, it had nothing to do with them.

The Tathagata's originally displeased expression also eased a lot.

As long as it didn't cause damage to the Western Paradise, he would be happy to see Daoism engage in internal strife.

Thinking of this, he suddenly remembered that the tribulation that Tang Sanzang and his disciples were currently experiencing seemed to be a tribulation arranged by Daoism, and immediately asked: "How is that tribulation going?"

"This…" Di Ting looked embarrassed and had no choice but to explain the whole story in detail.

After listening, the Buddhas were slightly surprised.

Although Chanism and the Western Paradise had a good relationship, he would not help them bring back the Antarctic Immortal.

At the moment, the most crucial thing was still the tribulation in the Bhikshu Kingdom.

"What are your opinions?" The Tathagata asked, surveying the Buddhas.

His gaze was calm, and his naturally formed eyes were filled with a faint Buddha's might. This master of Buddhism, after experiencing the Lion Camel Ridge incident, seemed to become more and more calm, and his aura gradually converged, as if he was planning something.

The Buddhas were silent. At this time, they didn't know what to do.

Di Ting knelt in front of him, not daring to speak.

A small figure like him, who was responsible for delivering messages, was not qualified to participate in this kind of discussion.

The silence didn't last long before a Buddha spoke: "Buddha, this matter is not difficult. According to what Di Ting said, Tang Sanzang and his disciples must not have seen the king yet. We can appropriately block them."

The Western Paradise was going to intervene in the tribulation.

This kind of thing rarely happened in general, but it was allowed.

Especially before the tribulation was completely completed.

For example, in the original story, when the Tathagata realized that Tang Sanzang and his disciples were still short of one tribulation, he once arranged for them to fall into the river, causing the scriptures to get wet.

This was the result of direct intervention by the Western Paradise.

Therefore, it was not difficult for the Western Paradise to intervene in the tribulation, but the things involved behind it would be relatively big.

After all, this time the opportunity belonged to Chanism. Rashly interfering might cause dissatisfaction.

The Tathagata didn't care. He said decisively: "Buddha Wu Gou, you go down to the mortal realm and complete this tribulation."

As soon as the words fell, a Buddha with golden light all over his body walked out. His eyes were calm, his face was neither sad nor happy, and he nodded slowly: "I respectfully obey the Dharma decree."

After making arrangements, the Tathagata looked at Di Ting again: "After that Chu Hao captured the Antarctic Immortal, does Chanism know about it?"

Di Ting shook his head: "This matter was too sudden, and it is not yet known."

"Then inform Chanism," The Tathagata naturally wanted to divert the trouble eastward, preferably stirring up the contradictions between Chanism and the Heavenly Court.

In this way, it would be good to prevent that Chu Hao from participating in this tribulation again, so he wouldn't have to worry about this guy thinking about the Western Paradise every day.

"Yes," Di Ting accepted the order and left.

After making arrangements, the Tathagata surveyed the Buddhas and said indifferently: "The way of the Three Realms, the Dharma is profound. That Chu Hao has repeatedly interfered with the way the Three Realms operate, and has long broken many rules. This is an opportunity. You can wait quietly."

"We respectfully obey the Dharma decree," the Buddhas responded.

… …

In the mortal realm, from night to day, time passed quickly.

Previously, Sun Wukong did not go to see the king, but simply threw the corpse of the white deer into the palace, letting the king realize that his national father was really a demon.

At this time, the morning light was beginning to appear, and the faint light sprinkled on the earth, dispelling the darkness. Through the window, it fell on the ground, and Tang Sanzang woke up from his sleep.

He squinted his eyes, got up and patted Zhu Bajie, who was sleeping soundly next to him: "Bajie, get up. Let's exchange the customs clearance document early, so we can continue our journey."

Zhu Bajie rolled over and got up reluctantly.

Sun Wukong and Sha Wujing had also woken up long ago.

Tang Sanzang looked at Sun Wukong again: "Wukong, are you sure that matter has been dealt with?"

"Don't worry, Master, that king is very timid. I guess he was so scared that he didn't sleep all night. If we go now, he won't bother to pay attention to anything else," Sun Wukong said.

"What about the children in the city?" Tang Sanzang frowned, with a worried expression.

"Those children will be fine. Brother Chu Hao will take care of it," Sun Wukong said seriously.

"With the Immortal's intervention, it is naturally better. Well, let's go," Tang Sanzang nodded.
