#2403 - Buddha's Complaint

Hearing the words of the gods, the Queen Mother was all smiles, very pleased with Chu Hao's generous gift.

"Chu Hao, you are truly thoughtful. This Dreamlike Ruyi is very much to my liking."

The Queen Mother turned to the Jade Emperor and discussed, saying,

"Chu Hao has presented such a grand gift, we should reward him handsomely. What does Your Majesty think?"

Since the Queen Mother had spoken, the Jade Emperor could only nod helplessly.

"Chu Hao, what reward do you desire? Whatever you need, just ask."

The Queen Mother asked Chu Hao.

With the Queen Mother speaking like this, Chu Hao naturally wouldn't be polite, as this was his very intention.

"If I must be rewarded, could the Queen Mother bestow the Immortal Spiritual Root upon me?"

Hearing Chu Hao's request for the Immortal Spiritual Root, the Queen Mother was first taken aback, as this Immortal Spiritual Root was her treasure.

However, she then smiled again.

"Someone, bestow the Immortal Spiritual Root upon Chu Hao."

For the Queen Mother, the value of the Immortal Spiritual Root was truly less than that of the Dreamlike Ruyi.

Although the Queen Mother was a goddess, she couldn't escape the nature of a woman. How could the Immortal Spiritual Root, which could only nurture flowers and plants, compare to this truly dreamlike Ruyi?

"Queen Mother, shouldn't you reconsider? That Immortal Spiritual Root is a treasure."

"Congratulations, Lord Prison God, on receiving such a reward."

"Lord Prison God has added brilliance to this Peach Banquet."

"Lord Prison God has always been a pillar of our Heavenly Court, how can those outsiders compare?"

The gods congratulated Chu Hao one after another, and the scene became lively and joyous again.

However, the Tathagata Buddha was extremely unwilling. He had brought out a treasure from the Western Paradise, but he didn't expect Chu Hao to steal the show with a flashy, impractical Dreamlike Ruyi.

"Jade Emperor, I have something to say."

The Tathagata Buddha stood up and said to the Jade Emperor.

"Buddha, no need to be polite, please speak!"

The Jade Emperor still had to give the Tathagata Buddha some face on the surface.

"Previously, Chu Hao ambushed my Spirit Mountain, causing considerable casualties and stealing many treasures from my Spirit Mountain.

As the Prison God of the Three Realms, he has acted like a bandit, which damages the dignity of the Heavenly Court.

My Western Paradise and the Heavenly Court have always been on good terms. Chu Hao's open attack on my Spirit Mountain is an act of humiliation and destruction, greatly damaging the relationship between our Western Paradise and the Heavenly Court.

This is a major matter concerning the peace of the Three Realms. The Jade Emperor must not ignore this and must severely punish Chu Hao."

The Tathagata Buddha was lodging a complaint against Chu Hao to the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother in front of all the gods.

The Tathagata Buddha's move immediately caused the atmosphere of the Peach Banquet to change from lively to silent.

The matter the Tathagata Buddha spoke of could actually be big or small. On a small scale, it was just a conflict between Chu Hao and the Western Paradise.

But on a large scale, it could be extended to the relationship between the Western Paradise and the Heavenly Court, and even elevated to the height of the situation in the Three Realms.

If the Tathagata Buddha insisted on pursuing this matter, then the Heavenly Court would at least be at a disadvantage and find it difficult to handle.

"Chu Hao, is what the Buddha said true? Did you really cause a ruckus in the Western Paradise?"

The Jade Emperor turned and asked Chu Hao.

Chu Hao was very happy now. With the Immortal Spiritual Root in hand, everything was progressing smoothly. He was eating melons, fruits, and peaches, and drinking nectar and jade liquid, enjoying the delicious food.

"I did cause a ruckus in Spirit Mountain."

Chu Hao was very frank and admitted to the Jade Emperor.

In fact, Chu Hao had long anticipated the Tathagata Buddha's attack and had discussed the matter with the Jade Emperor beforehand.

"Jade Emperor, Chu Hao has already admitted it. Please deal with it immediately, otherwise, it will be difficult for the people of my Western Paradise to be convinced."

The Tathagata Buddha requested the Jade Emperor.

"Buddha, if I remember correctly, you are the number one expert in the Three Realms, and there are countless experts in the Buddhist realm on your Spirit Mountain.

Spirit Mountain is the foundation of your Buddhism. How could Chu Hao alone have the ability to cause a ruckus in your Spirit Mountain? This is very unreasonable."

The Jade Emperor's words immediately aroused the approval of the crowd.

"Buddha, how could your entire Western Paradise be ambushed by the Prison God alone?"

"Does this mean that the Prison God is too strong, or your Western Paradise is too weak?"

"Since it was the Prison God alone, this matter should be a personal grudge between your Western Paradise and the Prison God, and has nothing to do with the Heavenly Court."

Hearing the gods say this, the Tathagata Buddha stammered and found it difficult to explain.

After eating and drinking his fill, Chu Hao stretched and got up.

"Since the Buddha is unable to explain, then I will. The cause of this matter dates back to Guanyin inviting the Dream Tapir Beast to stop me and Tang Sanzang and the others."

Chu Hao told the Jade Emperor and the gods of the Heavenly Court in detail about what had happened before.

The Jade Emperor, the Queen Mother, and the gods of the Heavenly Court listened with great interest. Chu Hao had added a wonderful storytelling program to the Peach Banquet.

Only the Tathagata Buddha, listening to Chu Hao's narration, looked increasingly ugly. This matter had caused the Western Paradise to lose all face.

"That's how it is. Guanyin and the Dream Tapir Beast were so deceiving. I was just seeking justice from the Western Paradise. Is there anything wrong with that?"

After Chu Hao finished speaking, he asked the Jade Emperor and the gods of the Heavenly Court.

"What the Prison God said is very true. The Western Paradise was indeed at fault first."

"Although the Journey to the West plan is led by your Western Paradise, Guanyin's actions are too much."

"If the Prison God and Tang Sanzang and the others were to suffer any misfortune, how should you, Buddha, explain to our Heavenly Court?"

The gods of the Heavenly Court questioned the Tathagata Buddha, making it even more difficult for the Tathagata Buddha to step down.

"Ahem, Buddha, this matter was caused by Guanyin. Your Western Paradise was at fault first. Although Chu Hao's revenge on your Western Paradise was inappropriate, it was also a personal grudge between him and your Western Paradise."

"Therefore, it is not easy for our Heavenly Court to handle this matter. According to the usual practice, dealing with such right and wrong matters and maintaining the peace of the Three Realms should be the responsibility of the Prison God Hall."

"If you insist on our Heavenly Court to make the decision for you, then we can only hand this matter over to the Prison God Hall. You and Chu Hao can only go to the Prison God Hall to appeal."

The Jade Emperor's words almost made the Tathagata Buddha spit out a mouthful of old blood.

To sue Chu Hao in the Prison God Hall, Chu Hao was the master of the Prison God Hall. Wasn't the Tathagata Buddha just making trouble for himself?

"Forget it, let's just drop this matter. My Western Paradise won't pursue it."

The Tathagata Buddha could only withdraw his accusation.

"No, there must be a result to this matter!"

But when the Tathagata Buddha wanted to withdraw the accusation, Chu Hao had no intention of giving up.
